"Learn-to-Row" Beginner Lessons Program

RMRC will be providing Learn-to-Row Lessons for the 2010 season.  This year’s lessons will have the following format:

Sessions will be given on two consecutive weekends.  The first weekend will begin with an informational session on Friday, which will include getting on the erg and learning some basics.  The Friday night session will be held at the Colorado Athletic Club on Monaco (address below) from 7 – 9 PM.  On Saturday and Sunday morning, the class will meet from 7 – 9 AM at the RMRC boathouse (directions below) for sweep lessons on the water.   The following weekend, sculling lessons will be given at the boathouse on Saturday and Sunday morning from 7 – 9 AM.

Classes will be limited to 6 students per class.  When you register, you will be asked to specify which session you would like to attend.  We currently have scheduled four sessions; however, if these get filled, we may add additional sessions, as needed.  We will also maintain a waitlist in case anyone cancels.

The cost for lessons is $250 per person.  Because seating is limited, your seat in the class is not guaranteed until payment has been received.  Payment must be received no later than one week before the start of your session.  You will also be asked to sign a release of liability waiver and swim attestation prior to participating in the class.

Schedule of Sessions:

Session 1: April 16 – 18 (erg and sweep) and April 24 – 25 (sculling)

Session 2: April 30 – May 2 (erg and sweep) and May 8 – 9 (sculling)

Session 3: May 14 – 16 (erg and sweep) and May 22 – 23 (sculling)

Session 4: June 11 – 13 (erg and sweep) and June 19 – 20 (sculling)
